Bab Zuweila

Bab Zuweila, one of Cairo’s remaining medieval gates, was built in the 11th century as part of the city’s southern fortifications. Its towering minarets and impressive architecture served both as a defensive structure and a symbol of power during the Fatimid period. Today, visitors can climb the gate for panoramic views of historic Cairo, making it a key cultural and historical landmark.
